Writing
I'm on a writing spree! It's like now that my brain stopped being stuffed, the creativity just flooded back in. If I had time, I'd probably spend 24 hours on working on various fics straight...I'm 4 bingo squares away from blackout, and I'm honestly champing at the bit to finish it (even though we can take it into the new year). Officially, January is the end date (plus a catch up month for all the bonus prompts one may have missed). So I'll definitely have the opportunity! I have two bonus fills I can switch in still, so really I'm only missing 2. One of them is gonna be a Weilan Time Travel Fix-It (current title In This, As In All Things) I've been chipping away at... might post the first chapters despite not being finished if time runs out, though XD
I recently finished a longer WIP I've been working on, and today I wrapped up a shorter thing.

Health & Work
I'm feeling fit enough for work, so I've gone back to shift this week. There's a lot going on, and a lot to be done (end of year bureaucracy plus we're getting new cases). I'm not feeling overwhelmed, surprisingly enough (though there are a couple new responsibilities I need to read up on and ask many questions for still but *shrugs* my colleagues are helpful and a lot of us are new so I don't feel singled out? We all have new tasks to fulfill). It's fascinating though, I especially enjoy the team discussions about the cases, both new and old! Though once we have a full house again, those will be cut down to necessities, since we only have a limited amount of time (4 hours) to discuss our operations. Still, I'm having fun! We've had some light-hearted laughter moments this week, plus all of my coworkers were dears when I was sick - two of them even conspired to get me groceries so I could recover in peace <3Family & Christmas
In less happy news, my parents and brother got (probably) the same virus I had, including the high fevers and other symptoms :/ so we cancelled Christmas together, which sucks epically because my mom's birthday is right before Christmas. They didn't come visit me (or pick me up to care for at home) so just this wouldn't happen, I didn't want to infect them. And now they've come down with it anyway... >.<On the upside, I already called my grandparents, I'll be spending Christmas Eve with them, and then we're going to my (twin) cousin's place for Christmas Day together. I have to work on Boxing Day anyway, so I'll be plenty distracted. Still, I'm kinda homesick at this point (and not looking forward to next year's christmas, since I'll likely have to work either on Christmas Eve or Day... since I got Boxing Day this year, and we do rotate to make it fair. Ugh.)
Yuletide & Fandom Events 2k23
I fortunately finished my yuletide fic shortly before the deadline - I really worried I wouldn't make it, but missed the defaulting deadline due to fever, so I figured, fuck it. And hey, I think it turned out well! My beta liked it anyway :D I'm excited for my recipee to read it.Generally, I've been having fun dipping my toes in more fandom events this year. I think for next year, I want to participate in more, as I have the time? Write less on my personal stuff (though that, too, whenever the mood strikes) and just. Interact more. I've been meaning to work on several projects that aren't Guardian, anyway (a GYADL fic, finishing my Untamed fic, the like) and I'm feeling motivated to tackle tiny fandoms I don't know anyone in, thanks to all the yuletide excitement. Hopefully I won't feel the lack of comments/validation too much, being busy with work x'D that's been one of my primary motivators in previous years of sticking with just the one fandom, aside from meeting fandom friends with the same obsession. (And really, Weilan is still very much #1 in my brain. The Kinnporsche series tried sneaking in there with its unhealthy dark VegasPete, but I forgot about them in less than a month lol).
I... don't actually know all that many fandom events, tho, especially not ones crossing multiple fandoms ^^" I would love some recs and descriptions of how they work? I've heard of fandomtrees and battleshipex this year, but I'm not quite sure what the latter is and I really would love some for the first half of the year. I will definitely do the Reverse Sundial again if it's running!
