I'm back from my 4-day-weekend mini-holiday for some more Guardian close-reading notes :) As with the first post, I'm concentrating on worldbuilding and antagonistic characters in particular. Kinda considering compiling all these notes into a resource doc by the end... we'll see!

Not as many notes this time around. I have some more thoughts I'll try to share in the
sid_guardian discussion. A lot of this episode were great Weilan building moments, plus establishing the plot (race for the Hallows). I don't think I've ever noticed the parallels between Li Qian's words and Shen Wei's story as much as this rewatch, I usually get caught up feeling sorry for Li Qian. This time, focussing so closely on what's being said, it hit me how every single line is poised to foreshadow Shen Wei's side of the time loop.
I'm already starting to regret I didn't include a HPS powers section. I might have to go back and add that. Shen Wei clearly shows signs of sensing the other Dixingren (we cut to him reacting the moment Gao Tianyu starts using dark energy, before Guo Changcheng and Li Qian notice the commotion).
